Why is the Bible so important for Christians?
Due to theological laxity, many Christians have lost the Bible as their awesome source of holiness and truth. Instead one has made it to a secular book without holiness and truth.
Why have we never heard that earlier?
That is a very good question. It all has to do with a bishop who put the church on the wrong foot very early in Christian history.
